Paper Wings – clothing little people with big imaginations!
Why should adults have all the fun when it comes to fashion?
Paper Wings is an Australian-owned and operated family company that designs bold, colourful collections that truly celebrate childhood.
These collections are characterised by a variety of shapes, patterns and prints that children just seem to love.
Why we’ve chosen Paper Wings
Part of the reason we embarked upon the Juno journey was our frustration when it came to finding clothes for our own children that were fun, stylish and a little bit different.
Paper Wings ticks all the boxes for us. It’s fun, it’s unique and it fires our imaginations!
The founding directors, Jason Gibaud and Michelle Fallon, each have backgrounds in the creative arts and design. Jason was a successful costume designer and graduate of the prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA). And Michelle studied Interior Design before moving to the dramatic arts and costume design where she lent her creative vision to many Australian theatre companies.
This rich design pedigree seems to lend the Paper Wings range a sense of dramatic adventure.
The Paper Wings designs for summer 2017 fell into three central themes:
- For girls it was all about exploring rambling country gardens, with colours, magical games and secret, hidden corners.
- The second theme hinted at a more urban world, with relaxed shapes and block colours and a girly take on vintage tattoos!
- The third theme was for boys. It centre on retro graphics and jungle fun.
The Paper Wings summer collection is in store now and we are beside ourselves with excitement!
